DOMANDA

 

Quando l’aria inquinata

avrà ucciso ogni forma di vita

 

Quando il calore

avrà bruciato ogni cosa

 

Quando la terra

sarà inondata dal diluvio

 

Rimarrà forse

—-come nei tempi passati—

un’arca?

 

E se non rimarrà nulla

ci sarà un Dio

che ricrei l’uomo nuovo?

QUESTION

 

When the polluted air

will have killed all life

 

When the heat 

will have scorched everything

 

When the earth

will be inundated by the Flood

 

Will there remain
—-as in bygone days—
an ark?

 

And if nothing remains
will there be a God

to recreate the new man?

Kur ajri i ndotur

do të ketë vrarë të gjitha gjallesat

 

Kur nxehtësia

do të ketë djegur gjithçka

 

Kur toka

do të përmbytet nga vërshimet

 

A do të mbetet

—si në të kaluarën—

një arkë?

 

Dhe nëse nuk mbetet asgjë

a do të ketë një Zot vallë

për të rikrijuar njeriun e ri?
