TOCCO UN PENSIERO

Traduzione in italiano: TAGHRID BOU MERHI

Tocco un pensiero,

con il sapore del metallo e il profumo di radice.

Lo sento respirare nelle profondità,

poi frantumarsi in schegge d’orizzonte.

Da ogni scheggia un universo crolla,

e il mondo non è altro che un incidente

delle mie percezioni.

Cerco me stessa nei riflessi,

eppure trovo solo rovine...

l’eco di un essere disperso.

I sensi sono la mia prigione,

e la mia libertà, la pura illusione

di poter fuggire attraverso le parole.

Eppure, scrivo.

In questo tremore del verbo

il dolore si dissolve e nasce l’arte,

la catarsi attraverso la quale ogni creatore

redime se stesso.

I TOUCH A THOUGHT

I touch a thought,

with the taste of metal and the scent of root.

I hear it breathing in the depths,

then shattering into shards of horizon.

From every shard a universe collapses,

and the world is nothing more than an accident

of my perceptions.

I search for myself in reflections,

yet I find only ruins...

the echo of a scattered being.

The senses are my prison,

and my freedom, the pure illusion

that I might escape through words.

And still, I write.

In this trembling of the verb

pain dissolves and art is born,

the catharsis through which every creator

redeems oneself.
